Best Nightlife -(Lounge)
737 Club
(Nightlife - Lounge)
1, pl Ville-MarieMontréal QC H3B 4R7 514-397-0737
Description:
Named for its location, high atop the Place Ville Marie tower at 737 feet above sea level, this place has awesome views, tons of space inside and out, and good drinks. The two-level interior has ample room for getting your groove on to techno and hip-hop, but if you're not a dancer don't let that deter you. 737 has plenty of comfy spots to chill out and nibble on a high-end appetizer while you sip a glass of champagne or a vodka martini.
A GoGo Lounge
(Nightlife - Lounge)
3682 St LaurentMontreal QC H2X 2V4 514-286-0882
Description:
Retro-chic A GoGo is a definite favorite. The music runs from 70s disco to 80s New Wave and beyond, the décor is a mix of mod and kitsch, and the drink menu is dotted with monikers like Sweet Tart, Mr. Freeze, Pink Panther and A Clockwork Orange. It all adds up to a groovy good time, Baby!
Bily Kun
(Nightlife - Lounge)
354, ave du Mont-Royal estMontreal QC H2T 1P9 514-845-5392
Description:
Reveling in its kitschy-stylish décor, Bily Kun is about as unpretentious a spot as you'll find anywhere. The vibe has been called "electric" but it's not a high-energy club by any means people come here to relax. Absinthe and beer are the quaffs of choice, and live jazz is on the schedule a few nights a week. Word of warning: the rather infamous ostrich heads may take some getting used to!
Globe
(Nightlife - Lounge)
3455 blvd Saint-LaurentMontréal QC H2X 2T6 514-284-3823
Description:
For the ultimate in people-watching and chic dining, Globe is the destination of choice. High ceilings and upholstered banquettes set the scene for a troupe of attractive servers delivering substantial portions of fantastic food to an appreciative clientele. The hip surroundings don't overshadow the cuisine by any means. Everything on the menu is carefully prepared using only the best ingredients. Try seared sirloin steak, local lamb stew, roast chicken, braised veal, or even duck, salmon or rabbit. Each is accompanied by vegetable side dishes and fragrant sauces for a complete culinary experience. Homemade desserts and a good wine list add to the appeal. At night, the place becomes a social and drinking environment where it's not unheard of to spot a celeb or two.
Gotha Bar

Part of the Aubergell B&B, the basement level Gotha has become a destination of its own among Gay Village residents. The casual, warm and inviting bar features a fireplace, patio and eclectic décor complete with orange chairs, worn wood floors and changing displays of local art. It's a great place to relax with a martini and some affable Montréalers.
